Having many individual IM/Chat windows open at the same time can cause pages to load slowly. Closing any open chats will make a big difference in your page load time and chat responsiveness.
To close open chat windows, navigate to the Chat bar at the bottom of your browser window. Select 'X' next to the Username of any active or recently active chat. Mobile users should select the Menu bars in the upper left of the screen.
Navigate to 'Messages', then to 'Chat'. A chat screen will appear. You can close any active or recently active chats from here.
