What Does the Marketing Permission Checkbox Mean?

When uploading media to your BateWorld profile you'll see a permission checkbox below the uploader. By selecting the checkbox you opt to give BateWorld the permission to use your uploaded media anywhere your media fits on and off of the site - including, but not limited to, social media marketing, ads, promotional materials, newsletters, our daily pic and vid of the day, The Bator Blog, etc. 

Giving permission this way is great for members who want to be featured across our platforms, be seen as an ambassador for the community, and have their content reach a wider audience. Quality content is prioritized.    

Can I withdraw permission?

Yes. If you gave permission at the point of upload and later change your mind, you can revoke permission at any time. To do this, head to 'My Profile' then select 'My Photos' or 'My Videos' and choose 'Edit Album'. Next to each uploaded image or video you'll see the option to 'Revoke' permission. 

Similarly, if permission wasn't given at the point of upload but you'd like to give it, repeat the previous steps and select 'Grant Permission'.
